Check whether a match covers your full trip, consecutive nights, preferred sites, and equipment. Do not compare a one-night opening with a week-long request.
The notification you will see
Compare email, text, browser notifications, or an app. Check phone-country support and any device setup before relying on a channel.
Limits and total cost
Compare active alerts, how long each scan runs, renewal terms, and the final checkout price. Free beta access can change when a product leaves beta.
What happens after the alert
Know who makes the reservation. If you book it yourself, have the official account ready. An availability message cannot promise that a site will still be open.

How we compare
Every competitor fact on these pages is checked against the company's own public pages, with the check date printed on the page. We name where each tool beats us — mobile apps, mature filters, agent booking, or coverage we don't have yet — because being straight with campers matters more than winning a table. Campsite checker questions
What is a campsite cancellation checker?
A cancellation checker looks for availability at a campground that may have sold out. A campsite notifier sends a message when a check finds an opening matching your settings. Openings can also come from later inventory releases, so a new result is not always proof of a cancellation.
Should I use the reservation website's own alerts?
Start there if they cover your trip. Recreation.gov and Ontario Parks, for example, offer availability notifications. An independent notifier can be useful if you want different notification channels, supported locations across several systems, or other search options. Compare the exact campground, dates, and limits before paying.
Does an alert guarantee a campsite or book it automatically?
No. A notification reports availability found during a check; it does not hold a reservation. OpenCampsite and Campnab send alerts so you can book on the official reservation site. If a service offers booking assistance, check its separate permissions, costs, and terms.
How do I compare two campsite notifiers fairly?
Use the same campground, arrival date, trip length, and equipment needs. Compare supported locations, how a matching stay is defined, notification channels, active-alert limits, and total price. We have not run a controlled speed comparison, so these pages do not rank services by who sends the first alert.
