Terms of Service
Operated by Wild Monkey Labs, LLC. Last updated: May 13, 2026.
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of OpenCampsite, including opencampsite.com, customer accounts, campground search, availability alerts, emails, SMS messages when enabled, and related support channels (collectively, the “Services”). The Services are operated by Wild Monkey Labs, LLC.
By creating an account, creating an alert, or otherwise using OpenCampsite, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Using OpenCampsite
OpenCampsite helps customers search supported campground records and create campsite availability alerts where alerts are available. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details, alert dates, notification preferences, and any campground selections you make.
You must be at least 13 years old to use OpenCampsite. If you use OpenCampsite on behalf of another person or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for them.
2. Alert Coverage and Availability
OpenCampsite does not own, operate, or control campgrounds, reservation systems, campsite inventory, booking rules, cancellation windows, or provider websites. Alert coverage may be limited during beta, and campgrounds that do not support alerts yet cannot be scanned for customer alerts.
Availability alerts are informational only. A notification does not reserve a campsite, hold inventory, guarantee that a site is still available, or guarantee that a reservation provider will accept your booking.
3. Accounts and Security
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or alert links have been accessed without authorization.
We may suspend or restrict access if we detect abuse, unauthorized automation, attempts to bypass rate limits, security risks, or use that could interfere with OpenCampsite, campground providers, or other customers.
4. Notifications and Consent
When you create an alert, you authorize OpenCampsite to send alert confirmations, availability updates, quiet-hour or delivery notices, unsubscribe confirmations, and other transactional messages related to that alert.
Email alerts include a disable link when available. SMS alerts appear only when SMS delivery is enabled, you select SMS, and you provide a phone number. Message and data rates may apply. You can stop future alert messages by disabling the alert, using unsubscribe links, changing notification preferences, or contacting support.
5. Acceptable Use
Do not misuse OpenCampsite, scrape or overload the service, interfere with providers, reverse engineer non-public systems, submit false or misleading information, or use the service for unlawful or harmful activity.
Do not create alerts or accounts in a way that evades limits, harms service reliability, or attempts to monopolize provider capacity for other customers.
6. Fees and Paid Features
OpenCampsite may offer free, beta, trial, or paid features. Paid features, if offered, may have separate pricing, renewal, cancellation, tax, refund, and usage-limit terms shown at purchase or in the account area.
We may change or discontinue features, provider coverage, scan intervals, plans, or beta availability as the product evolves.
7. Third-Party Services
OpenCampsite relies on third-party services for hosting, authentication, email, SMS, analytics, payment processing, and campground provider data. Their availability, terms, and outages may affect OpenCampsite.
Links to third-party reservation providers are provided for convenience. Your booking, payment, cancellation, and campground stay are governed by the applicable provider's terms.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
OpenCampsite is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free scans, provider accuracy, delivery timing, or successful reservations.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, OpenCampsite and Wild Monkey Labs, LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost reservations, lost profits, provider outages, or missed notifications arising from your use of the service.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. If changes are material, we will update the date on this page and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continuing to use OpenCampsite after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
