Camping reservation guide
Which Pinery and Silent Lake yurts allow dogs?
Pinery permits dogs in yurt RA15. At Silent Lake, the dog-friendly yurts are 7 and 103. Search those exact units: a park allowing dogs does not make every yurt pet-friendly, and this shortlist does not indicate current availability.

The exact dog-friendly units
| Park | Yurt to search | Useful difference |
|---|---|---|
| Pinery | RA15 | Use the full RA15 unit label when checking the calendar. |
| Silent Lake | 7 | No electricity; wood stove. Check winter walk-in access. |
| Silent Lake | 103 | Electricity; no wood stove. |
Both parks list a two-night minimum for yurts and three nights on long weekends. Search a stay that satisfies those rules before concluding that an open night is unbookable.

How to check dog-friendly yurt availability
- Open Ontario Parks reservations and choose Roofed Accommodation.
- Select Pinery or Silent Lake, then enter your dates and party size.
- Check RA15 at Pinery, or 7 and 103 at Silent Lake. Open each unit's details and verify the pet restriction before paying.
- If your dates are full, try another arrival day or a longer eligible stay. Do not substitute a different yurt just because the park permits dogs elsewhere.
Start from Pinery's official yurt page or Silent Lake's official yurt page to review the unit restrictions alongside the booking link.
Pinery and Silent Lake yurt cancellation alerts
Exact-yurt monitoring is not verified
OpenCampsite currently lists campground coverage at these parks, but we have not verified scans of Pinery RA15 or Silent Lake 7 and 103. Do not create a general campground alert expecting it to watch these dog-friendly yurts.
Check the official roofed-accommodation calendar directly. If Ontario Parks offers a Notify Me option for your selected roofed search, verify that its criteria include the units you can use. A park-wide notice for a pet-free yurt would not fit this trip.
Keep your dates and acceptable units handy so you can recheck an opening quickly. A notification or a visible calendar opening does not hold the yurt.
Before travelling with your dog
Review the current pet terms and seasonal access on the exact unit page. Winter access can change how you move bedding, food, and dog supplies from your vehicle; a summer parking arrangement is not a safe assumption for a winter trip.
For release-day planning, use the Ontario Parks reservation date calculator. For tent or RV camping, browse our Ontario Parks campground coverage and choose a location that fits your actual accommodation.
Common questions
Which Pinery yurt is dog-friendly?
RA15 is the dog-friendly Pinery yurt named by Ontario Parks. Do not substitute RA7, RA8, RA9, RA12, or RA13 when travelling with your dog.
Which Silent Lake yurts permit dogs?
Ontario Parks names yurts 7 and 103. Yurt 7 has no electricity and uses a wood stove; yurt 103 has electricity and no wood stove. Check seasonal access before choosing.
Can OpenCampsite alert me to cancellations in these exact yurts?
We have not verified monitoring for Pinery RA15 or Silent Lake 7 and 103. Our campground coverage should not be treated as an alert for those roofed units. Use the official reservation service to check them directly.
Can I bring a dog if a different yurt opens?
Only choose a unit whose current pet policy explicitly permits your dog. Ontario Parks' restrictions for the other yurts at these parks prohibit pets both inside the yurt and on its site.
