For arrivals on or after July 1, 2026, a new statewide policy applies: cancel seven or more days out for a full site-fee refund minus the $8.25 cancellation fee; two to six days out forfeits the first night; inside 48 hours (or a no-show) forfeits everything.
California State Parks says most cancelled sites become bookable at 8 am the following morning. This is separate from the six-month release of new arrival dates, and does not mean every campground receives new availability each day.
