Where a second chance can come from
When retrying, include Ryan, Indian Cove, or Black Rock if their location and equipment rules suit the trip. A park-wide search has more useful chances than waiting for one photographed Jumbo Rocks site.
Recheck after forecast changes, but make the decision on safe desert conditions rather than availability alone. A newly open site does not make high heat, wind, flood risk, or a fire restriction acceptable.
